Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This is the department that diagnoses and surgically treats all conditions concerning the soft tissues (such as cheeks, palate, tongue, lips) and hard tissues (teeth, bones) within the oral cavity. These operations are performed by conducting surgeries in an operating room environment under local anesthesia, general anesthesia, or sedation anesthesia.

Procedures such as tooth extractions, impacted tooth surgeries, wisdom tooth extractions, implant applications, treatment of jaw fractures, diagnosis and treatment of jaw tumors, diagnosis and treatment of abscesses or cysts in the jaw and surrounding tissues, and the treatment of damaged tissues before prosthetic and orthodontic treatment are performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
